Even running single-player or Listen Server you might see this problem. This appears to be a problem under XP SP2 where it installs a wrong AGP driver for VIA chipsets, but it might happen under SP1 as well. Solution: Uninstall the VIA AGP driver and restart (following the instructions and recomendation by Microsoft to use their AGP driver for all AGP 3+ implementations) and it should solve this problem. If you have this problem in Win2K, be sure to install the latest Service pack 4 which has updated AGP drivers. More information and links to updated VIA motherboard drivers here:
