Steam Support will not request your Steam account password for any reason, nor will you ever be asked to enter your Steam account password into a website form.

You are using the old Steam syntax.

For Win32, just run HLDSUpdatetool.exe without any command line options to see the command syntax and options. You will have to run from a command prompt or create a batch file with a pause at the end or it will just run and disappear.

For Linux, just run ./steam without any command line options to see what the new command syntax and options are.

To update a Linux cs server that is in the same directory as the steam software:

./steam -command update -game cstrike -username namehere -password passhere -rememberpassword

You need to run steam from the same that the server is installed to.
