Article ID: 7096-TFLV-2699 FAQ ID: 261 Updated: October 27th, 2008 The content of this page is moderated by both Steam Support and the Steam user community - any links to outside sites should be treated with caution. Steam Support will not request your Steam account password for any reason, nor will you ever be asked to enter your Steam account password into a website form. This is typically caused by a bad Steam installer or corruption in your existing Steam installation. The easiest fix for this problem is to rename the ClientRegistry.blob. If that does not resolve the issue then please uninstall Steam using Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel. Once Steam has been uninstalled, please download the latest Steam installer here: Get Steam Now. |
