Warning:

It is strongly recommended that you create a system restore point and backup your important files before making any changes to your system directory. If you are not comfortable editing files in the Windows directory, we recommend seeking assistance from your computer's manufacturer or from Microsoft Support.

If you receive this error message then you most likely have the mss32.dll file either in your C:\Windows\System32 folder or somewhere else in the system path.

You need to delete that file from your system. After you have deleted the file, it is recommended that you reboot your computer.

If you are unable to find the file in the System32 folder, use the Windows search function and be sure to enable searching in hidden and system folders in the advanced options.
