Steam Support will not request your Steam account password for any reason, nor will you ever be asked to enter your Steam account password into a website form. Important Note A retail CD Key may only be registered to one Steam Account at a time. CD Keys are associated with you Steam Account, not your computer. If you are certain you have not registered your CD Key to a Steam account in the past please see the CD Key Reset Process topic for instructions. If you may have already activated your CD Key on Steam but do not recall the login information for the account your CD Key is registered to, see the Contacting VALVe Billing and Support topic for instructions to provide Steam Support with the following information:
CD Key Scan ExamplesPlease see the examples below to see how your CD Key image should be sized and noted. Please write your account name - in the examples you will see the account name "support" - or your support incident number (you will need to submit your incident, write your incident number on the CD Key, and then update your case with the scan if you are not sure of your account name).
