7. The next menu is the product activation wizard. You will need to enter your 25-character product key at this time. This product key will be found in your game's disc case or on the quick reference card that came with the game you purchased. 8. Steam will check for any updates for your game once you have successfully activated your subscription. Please allow Steam to update your game once the installation has finished.
The update process may take several minutes or hours, depending on the amount of updates and your internet connection speed.
9. After Steam has fully updated your game(s) you will be ready to play. Double click the title of the game you would like to start in the My Games tab or right click on the title and select Launch game to begin.
