Installing Custom Content:da

Du kan lægge uofficielle filer, som f.eks. CS Fusion Pack, i dit Steam\SteamApps\din@konto.her\Counter-Strike\ bibliotek.

Steam vil bruge de uofficielle filer på harddisken i stedet (hvis altså to filer har samme sti og navn) for dem i din GCF-fil

Vigtig bemærkning:

Du må ikke kopiere nogle af de gamle officielle baner, til dit Steam-bibliotek.

Hvis du gør det, vil du få fejlmeddelelser som f.eks. "Your Map Differs from the Server's", "Bad Surface Extents" eller andre fejl vedrørende referencer til manglende "sprites" eller "modeler".

En anden almindelig fejl-meddelelse, forbundet med at flytte officielle modeler, sprites og baner, er "You have been disconnected from the server. Reason: Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency".

I hvert af disse tilfælde er løsningen at slette det problematiske indhold fra dit spil-bibliotek.

Steam-installationen bruger den samme biblioteks-struktur, for alle baner og andet indhold efter den har nået til modifikationens (MOD) mappen. For eksempel findes Counter-Strike typisk her:

C:\Programmer\Steam\SteamApps\din@konto.her\Counter-Strike\cstrike\

eller

C:\Programmer\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\din@konto.her\Counter-Strike\cstrike\

You can drop in custom files, like the CS Fusion Pack, into your Steam/SteamApps/<username>/Counter-Strike/ directory.

Steam will use the customized files on disk instead of the ones in the Steam cache file. Important Note

You must not copy over any of the old "Stock Maps" to your Steam Installation.

If you do, you will receive error messages - i.e. "Your Map Differs from the Server's" or "Bad Surface Extents" or other errors referencing missing sprites or models.

Another common error message related to moving stock models, sprites, and maps is "You have been disconnected from the server. Reason: Bad file Server is enforcing file consistency"

In each case the solution is to delete the offending content from the game's folder.

Your Steam installation uses the same basic file structure for all the maps and things once you get to the MOD folder, for example Counter-Strike is typically found here:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<username>\Counter-Strike\cstrike\ or C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<username>\Counter-Strike\cstrike\
