If you receive this error message when attempting to load a map which was included with your game, please see the Verifying GCF Cache Files topic for troubleshooting instructions. If you receive this error message when attempting to load a custom map from a server or while playing a mod, you must download the missing map and add it to the game's root directory (for example, \Steam\SteamApps\<username>\counter-strike\cstrike. |
