We are currently using a system which will perform an authorization of the card without placing an authorization hold on the funds in the account, however, some banks and credit card issuers require an authorization hold - for this reason, it is of the utmost concern (especially for debit card users) that you contact us to ensure multiple authorization holds from failed purchase attempts are not locking up the funds in your account. Credit card purchases placed through Steam are most commonly declined for the following reasons:
