Volg de volgende instructies om een Steam installatie te verplaatsen naar een andere schijf of machine:

Sluit Steam af
Open de Steam installatie map van de Steam installatie die u wenst te verplaatsen.
Verplaats de Steamapps map uit de Steam installatie map naar uw bureaublad.
Raadpleeg het Steam de-installeren artikel om Steam te de-installeren (dit moet gebeuren om de instellingen van de oude Steam installatie uit uw Windows register te verwijderen).
Raadpleeg het Steam installeren artikel om Steam te herinstalleren op de gewenste locatie.
Verplaats de Steamapps map naar de nieuwe Steam installatie map om al uw gedownloade spelcontent, instellingen en savegames op de nieuwe locatie te kunnen gebruiken.
Start Steam op en log in op uw Steam account om te verifieren dat de verplaatsing succesvol verliep.

Please see the Using the Steam Backup Feature topic if you would like instructions to save backup copies of your games.

Please observe the following process to move your Steam installation between hard drives or machines:

Exit the Steam client application
Browse to the Steam installation folder (C\Program Files\Valve\Steam by default) for the Steam installation you would like to move
Move the SteamApps folder from the Steam installation folder to your desktop
Review the Uninstalling Steam topic for instructions to uninstall Steam (this must be done to remove your old Steam installation's settings from the Windows Registry)
Review the Installing Steam topic for instructions to re-install Steam to the desired location
Move the SteamApps folder into the new Steam installation folder to copy all of your downloaded game content, settings, and saved games to the new location
Start Steam and log in to your existing Steam account to confirm that the move was successful
