De volgende stappen moeten ondernomen worden om een verloren Steam account paswoord te resetten:

In het Steam login venster, kies voor de Herstel een verloren account knop
- Als u uw accountnaam niet weet:
  1. Vink de optie Ik weet mijn accountnaam niet aan en klik op volgende.
  2. Kies een optie (bij voorkeur het contact e-mailadres van de verloren account) om uw Steam accountname naar het e-mailadres te laten verzenden.
  3. Herhaal dit proces nadat u de e-mail met uw accountnaam heeft ontvangen
- Als u uw accountnaam kent:
  1. Kies voor de Ik ken mijn accountnaam optie en klik op volgende.
  2. Voer uw accountnaam in en klik op volgende.
Kijk naar het contacte-mailadres en zoek naar een mail waarin uw verificatiecode en geheime vraag vermeld zijn.
Vul de verificatiecode en geheime vraag velden in, en klik op volgende.
Vul uw nieuwe paswoord tweemaal in om de verandering te bevestigen, en klik op volgende om uw paswoord finaal te wijzigen.

Please observe the following process to reset a lost Steam account password:

From the Steam Login dialog, click the Retrieve a lost account... button
- If you do not know your account name:
  1. Select the I don't know my account name. option and click Next
  2. Select an item of information (preferably the account's contact e-mail address) to have your Steam account name sent to your contact e-mail address for the account
  3. Repeat this process after you receive the e-mail with your account name
- If you know your account name:
  1. Select the I know my account name. option and click Next
  2. Enter your account name in the Account name field and click Next
Check the contact e-mail address for your Steam account for an e-mail containing your Verification Code and Secret Question
Complete the Verification code and Secret answer fields, then click Next
Enter your new password twice to confirm the change, then click the Next button to reset your password

Important Note

If you do not receive the account name e-mail or the verification code/secret question e-mail, your account may have been hijacked by another user. (Check your spam or bulk e-mail inboxes to confirm that you have not received a message from Steam.)
