Assuming that you are the parent and not the child, and assuming that you are not using this in a country that requires content lock to be on (Germany for example) the solution is to execute the following reg file which will reset the content lock and password back to the default (no password and content lock off): http://support.steampowered.com/downloads/faq/236/reset_content_lock.reg
The most common complaint about this is "Yellow Blood". There is a chance that some server admins will force this on a client when they join, again, German servers may be "required" to do this. There is also a minimum age requirement for German players. The token 2 value in the registry controls this. |
