Cause

The film grain effect added to Day of Defeat: Source's spectator mode may require resources which are not available on machines running the minimum System Requirements for Source-engine Games.

Recommendation

Disable Film Grain Effect for Day of Defeat: Source Spectator Mode.

Open Steam
Go to the "My Games" tab
Right-click the Day of Defeat: Source item
Select "Properties" from the menu
Click the "Set launch options..." button
Add +cl_enablespectatoreffects 0 +cl_enabledeatheffects 0 +cl_enabledeathfilmgrain 0 +mat_filmgrain 0 at the end of the line.
