If you need to reset your password or secret question and you do not have access to your Steam account, please see the Contacting VALVe Billing and Support topic for instructions to reclaim your account.

Please observe the following process to update your password or secret question after logging in to your Steam account:

Go to File and select Settings
Under the Account tab click the Change password... button
Select whether you wish to change your password or secret question and click Next >
Enter your old password to authorize the change, then enter your new password twice and click Next >
You will receive a notice once your new password has been accepted - click Finish to complete the process
